Happiness

We convince ourselves that life will be better after we get married, have a baby, then another. hen we are frustrated that the kids aren't enough and we'll be more content when they are. After that we're frustrated that we have teenagers to deal with. We willcertainly be happy when they are out of that stage. We tell ourselves that our life will be complete when our spouse gets his or her act together, when we get a nicer car, are able to go on a nice vacation, when we retire. The truth is, there's no better time to be happy than right now. If not now, when?

Your life will always be filled with challenges. It's best to admit this to yourself and decide to be happy anyway. One of my favorite quotes comes from Alfred D Souza. He said, "For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin - real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life". This perspective has helped me to see that there is no way to happiness. Happiness is the way. So, reassure every moment that you have. And treasure it more because you shared it with someone special, special enough to spend your time...and remember that time waits for no one...

So stop waiting until you finish school, until you go back to school, until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until fall, until winter, until you are off welfare, until the first or fifteenth, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink, until you've sobered up, until you die, until you are born again to decide that there is no better time than right now to be happy..

Happiness is a journey, not a destination.

Adakah kamu menjadi miliknya kerana pandangan matanya membuat hatimu melompat?Itu bukan Cinta, itu TERGILA-GILA.
Adakah kamu memaafkan kesalahannya kerana kamu mengambil berat tentangnya?
Adakah hatimu gembira ketika dia berbahagia?ITULAH CINTA.
Adakah matanya melihat hatimu dan menyentuh jiwamu begitu mendalam sehingga menusuk?Yang demikian itulah namanya CINTA.

I've learned that....

I've learned that you cannot make someone love you. All you can do is be someone who can be loved. The rest is up to them.

I've learned that no matter how much I care, some people just don't care back.

I've learned that it takes years to build up trust, and only seconds to destroy it.

I've learned that it's not what you have in your life, but who you have in your life that counts.
I've learned that you can get by on charm for about 15 minutes. After that, you'd better know something.

I've learned that you shouldn't compare yourself to the best others can do, but to the best you can do.

I've learned that it's not what happens to people that's important. It's what they do about it.

I've learned that no matter how thin you slice it, there are always two sides.

I've learned that it's taking me a long time to become the person I want to be.

I've learned that it's a lot easier to react than it is to think.

I've learned that you should always leave loved ones with loving words. It may be the last time you see them.

I've learned that you can keep going long after you think you can't.

I've learned that we are responsible for what we do, no matter how we feel.

I've learned that either you control your attitude or it controls you.

I've learned that regardless of how hot and steamy a relationship is at first, the passion fades and there had better be something else to take its place.

I've learned that heroes are the people who do what has to be done when it needs to be done, regardless of the consequences.

I've learned that learning to forgive takes practice.

I've learned that there are people who love you dearly, but just don't know how to show it.

I've learned that money is a lousy way of keeping score.

I've learned that my best friend and I can do anything or nothing and have the best time.

I've learned that sometimes the people you expect to kick you when you're down will be the ones to help you get back up.

I've learned that I'm getting more and more like my grandma, and I'm kinda happy about it.

I've learned that sometimes when I'm angry I have the right to be angry, but that doesn't give me the right to be cruel.

I've learned that true friendship continues to grow, even over the longest distance. Same goes for true love.

I've learned that just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have.

I've learned that maturity has more to do with what types of experiences you've had and what you've learned from them and less to do with how many birthdays you've celebrated.

I've learned that you should never tell a child her dreams are unlikely or outlandish. Few things are more humiliating, and what a tragedy it would be if she believed it.

I've learned that no matter how good a friend someone is, they're going to hurt you every once in a while and you must forgive them for that.

I've learned that it isn't always enough to be forgiven by others. Sometimes you have to learn to forgive yourself.

I've learned that no matter how bad your heart is broken the world doesn't stop for your grief.

I've learned that our background and circumstances may have influenced who we are, but we are responsible for who we become.

I've learned that sometimes when my friends fight, I'm forced to choose sides even when I don't want to.

I've learned that just because two people argue, it doesn't mean they don't love each other. And just because they don't argue, it doesn't mean they do.

I've learned that sometimes you have to put the individual ahead of their actions.

I've learned that we don't have to change friends if we understand that friends change.

I've learned that if you don't want to forget something, stick it in your underwear drawer.

I've learned that you shouldn't be so eager to find out a secret. It could change your life forever.

I've learned that the clothes I like best are the ones with the most holes in them.

I've learned that two people can look at the exact same thing and see something totally different.

I've learned that no matter how you try to protect your children, they will eventually get hurt and you will hurt in the process.

I've learned that there are many ways of falling and staying in love.

I've learned that no matter the consequences, those who are honest with themselves, get farther in life.

I've learned that many things can be powered by the mind, the trick is self-control.

I've learned that no matter how many friends you have, if you are their pillar, you will feel lonely and lost at the times you need them most.

I've learned that your life can be changed in a matter of hours by people who don't even know you.

I've learned that even when you think you have no more to give, when a friend cries out to you, you will find the strength to help.

I've learned that writing, as well as talking, can ease emotional pains.

I've learned that the paradigm we live in is not all that is offered to us.

I've learned that credentials on the wall do not make you a decent human being.

I've learned that the people you care most about in life are taken from you too soon.

I've learned that although the word "love" can have many different meaning, it loses value when overly used.

I've learned that it's hard to determine where to draw the line between being nice and not hurting people's feelings and standing up for what you believe.

Looking for my bestfren

this is a translated lyrics of XUN YOU QI SHI by Ming dao n Meng Zhe from YING YE SAN JIA YI..the lyrics is very meaningful to me..enjoy!

Suddenly in an ordinary night
i remembered the girl that we both chased when we were young
How she is now?whether her tears are still so clear
suddenly i thought of the cut near your mouth
does it still stir up your look of hatred
or has it now become
only thing i can give you is courage
and energy to think of me again

Who knew that road in the same town can be so long
as time passed
many walls are built accidentally
i really hope to turn back time
with you we'd not go home
and roam the streets
i know that now and the past
many things are different
i still want to find those strands of memory both of us left behind
quietly beside you
even if it's just looking and keeping silent

Suddenly in this ordinary night
dad and mum mentioned us the bunch of troublemakers
cutely and determinedly
advised me to look at how we are now
suddenly i remembered the field where we graduated
if anyone still go there occasionally to loiter
we have all grown up
but lost the courage to support things together

Anyone knows how my friends are doing now
if they have anything
that they need my help with
tell them that i'm waiting
we'll meet at the heaven
that we once went to
I know that many of my friends are different now
but they gave me the wings to fly happily
even if it was a lonely street
just staring at the lamp post
and not thinking of anything

They are in my heart
they're wandering by themselves now
they are beside me
I am in their heart

child's definition of love

A group of professional people posed this question to a group of 4 to 8 year-olds, "What does love mean?" The answers they got were broader and deeper than anyone could have imagined. See what you think:

"When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love." Rebecca - age 8

When someone loves you, the way they say your name is different. You know that your name is safe in their mouth." Billy - age 4

"Love is when a girl puts on perfume and a boy puts on shaving cologne and they go out and smell each other." Karl - age 5

"Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs." Chrissy - age 6

"Love is what makes you smile when you're tired." Terri - age 4

"Love is when my mommy makes coffee for my daddy and she takes a sip before giving it to him, to make sure the taste is OK." Danny - age 7

"Love is when you kiss all the time. Then when you get tired of kissing, you still want to be together and you talk more. My Mommy and Daddy are like that. They look gross when they kiss" Emily - age 8

"Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presents and listen," Bobby - age 7 (Wow!)

"If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend who you hate," Nikka - age 6

"There are two kinds of love. Our love. God's love. But God makes both kinds of them." Jenny - age 8

"Love is when you tell a guy you like his shirt, then he wears it everyday." Noelle - age 7

"Love is like a little old woman and a little old man who are still friends even after they know each other so well." Tommy - age 6

"During my piano recital, I was on a stage and I was scared. I looked at all the people watching me and saw my daddy waving and smiling. He was the only one doing that. I wasn't scared anymore," Cindy - age 8

"My mommy loves me more than anybody. You don't see anyone else kissing me to sleep at night." Clare - age 6

"Love is when Mommy gives Daddy the best piece of chicken." Elaine -age 5

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy smelly and sweaty and still says he is handsomer than Robert Redford." Chris - age 7

"Love is when your puppy licks your face even after you left him alone all day." Mary Ann - age 4

"I know my older sister loves me because she gives me all her old clothes and has to go out and buy new ones." Lauren - age 4

"When you love somebody, your eyelashes go up and down and little stars come out of you." Karen - age 7

"Love is when Mommy sees Daddy on the toilet and she doesn't think it's gross." Mark - age 6

"You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot. People forget," Jessica - age 8

"Author and lecturer Leo Buscaglia once talked about a contest he was asked to judge. The purpose of the contest was to find the most caring child. The winner was a four year old child whose next door neighbor was an elderly gentleman who had recently lost his wife. Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman's yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked him what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, "Nothing, I just helped him cry."

cerita lawak...

Aktiviti seharian depa ni menybbkan tok imam tak senang duduk. Padd satu hari tok imam tu datang dengan niat nak tarbiyah depa ni.
Maka berlakulah beberapa insiden cabar-mencabar.
Takpa, nanti kami buktikan yg kami bukan la jahil sangat seperti yang disangkakan" .
Maka apabila hampir masuk waktu Maghrib pegilah malaun 3 ekor tu ke surau.
Tok imam pun suruh Ali azan. Tanpa berlengah terus je Ali azan, "Allah Ta'ala... Allah Ta'ala...". Terselah kejahilan Ali.
Selepas iqamat, masa nak sembahyang tok imam pun mengangkat takbiratul ihram. Tok imam pun satu hal, angkat sekali tak khusyuk, angkat 2 kali pun tak khusyuk jugak lagi...
Masuk je kali ketiga, Budin panggil tok imam. "Tok,tok duduk kat belakang, biar saya jadi imam." Tok imam pun undur le ke belakang.
Budin pun angkat le takbiratul ihram. "Allahu akbar!" Maka para makmum pun ikut angkat takbiratul ihram & memulakan solat. Sekali jee tokkkk!!" Lalu batallah solat Budin. Yg lain-lain pun ikut berenti sambil ketawa terbahak-bahak.
Tok imam pun mintak pulak si Ciko jadi imam.
"He hee, itu belum ambil wuduk lagi tu.Kalau tak, lagi dassat aku semayang. He heee..."
Tok imam pun terkedu & terpana...

Kenapa saya letih buat kerja?

Selama beberapa tahun aku telah merungut kerana kurang tidur dan terlalu banyak tekanan dalam hidup, akan tetapi sekarang kini aku tahu kenapa ianya berlaku (the real reason) :

Aku keletihan kerana terlebih kerja... nak tau kenapa?

Jadi sedarlah sikit... . dahhhh..!!! pi buat kerja!!!

P/S : Semua statistik di atas boleh dirujuk kesahihannya di Pusat2 Bancian, Kementerian Kesihatan, Kementerian Pertahanan, Jabatan Tenaga Raya, Kementerian Pendidikan dan Jabatan Kebajikan Masyarakat. Takkan nak rujuk itu pun nak kena suruh saya buat jugak.

SAND n STONE

A story tells that two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey they had an argument, and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt, but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SLAPPED ME IN THE FACE."

They kept on walking until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath. The one, who had been slapped, got stuck in the mire and started drowning, but the friend saved him. After the friend recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: "TODAY MY BEST FRIEND SAVED MY LIFE."

The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, "After I hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?"

The other friend replied: "When someone hurts us, we should write it down in sand where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does something good for us, we must engrave it in stone where no wind can ever erase it."

Beza Cinta, Sayang, Minat Dan Suka

Cinta - Kita memang mengharapkan dia menjadi milik kita.

Suka - Kita sukakan dia kerana dia kelakar. Dia happy-go-lucky.

Hassan Al-Banna

12 Februari 1949
Posted by: "Wan Fatin Zuharah WanMusthapa"
Sat Feb 9, 2008 5:54 am (PST)
59 tahun yang lalu
Tempat: Kaherah - Kawasan Hilmiyah
Waktu : Selepas tengah malam 12 Februari1949

Pagi pun menjelma, para pegawai datang sebagaimana janji mereka, “Marilah bersama anakmu Kebumikanlahnya!”

Mother

When your mother has grown older,
When her dear, faithful eyes
No longer see life as they once did,
When her feet, grown tired,
No longer want to carry her as shewalks,
Then lend her your arm in support, escort her with happy pleasure—

The hour will come when, weeping,
you must accompany her on her final walk.
And if she asks you something,
then give her an answer.
And if she asks again, then speak!
And if she asks yet again, respond to her,
not impatiently, but with gentlecalm.
And if she cannot understand you properly,
explain all to her happily.

The hour will come, the bitter hour,
when her mouth asks for nothing more.

The Thing I Value Most

This is a great message... A young man learns what'smost important in life from an old guy next door

It had been some time since Jack had seen the old man. College, girls, career, and life itself got in the way. In fact, Jack moved clear across the country in pursuit of his dreams. There, in the rush of his busy life, Jack had little time to think about the past and often no time to spend with his wife and son. He was working on his future, and nothing could stop him.

Over the phone, his mother told him, "Mr. Belser died last night. The funeral is Wednesday."

Memories flashed through his mind like an old newsreel as he sat quietly remembering his childhood days."Jack, did you hear me?""Oh, sorry, Mom. Yes, I heard you. It's been so long since I thought of him. I'm sorry, but I honestly thought he died years ago," Jack said.

"Well, he didn't forget you. Every time I saw him he'd ask how you were doing. He'd reminisce about the many days you spent over 'his side of the fence' as he put it," Mom told him.

"I loved that old house he lived in," Jack said.

"You know, Jack, after your father died, Mr. Belser stepped in to make sure you had a man's influence in your life," she said.

"He's the one who taught me carpentry," he said. "I wouldn't be in this business if it weren't for him. He spent a lot of time teaching me things he thought were important... Mom, I'll be there for the funeral," Jack said.

As busy as he was, he kept his word. Jack caught the next flight to his hometown. Mr. Belser's funeral was small and uneventful. He had no children of his own, and most of his relatives had passed away.

The night before he had to return home, Jack and his Mom stopped by to see the old house next door one more time.Standing in the doorway, Jack paused for a moment. It was like crossing over into another dimension, a leap through space and time. The house was exactly as he remembered. Every step held memories. Every picture, every piece of furniture...

Jack stopped suddenly."What's wrong, Jack?" his Mom asked.

"The box is gone," he said.

"What box? " Mom asked.

"There was a small gold box that he kept locked on top of his desk. I must have asked him a thousand times what was inside. All he'd ever tell me was 'the thing I value most,'" Jack said.

It was gone. Everything about the house was exactly how Jack remembered it, except for the box. He figured someone from the Belser family had taken it.

"Now I'll never know what was so valuable to him," Jack said. "I better get some sleep. I have an early flight home, Mom."

It had been about two weeks since Mr. Belser died. Returning home from work one day Jack discovered a note in his mailbox. "Signature required on a package. No one at home. Please stop by the main post office within the next three days," the note read.

Early the next day Jack retrieved the package. The small box was old and looked like it had been mailed a hundred years ago. The handwriting was difficult to read, but the return address caught his attention."Mr. Harold Belser" it read.

Jack took the box out to his car and ripped open the package. There inside was the gold box and an envelope.Jack's hands shook as he read the note inside."Upon my death, please forward this box and its contents to Jack Bennett. It's the thing I valued most in my life." A small key was taped to the letter. His heart racing, as tears filling his eyes, Jack carefully unlocked the box.

There inside he found a beautiful gold pocket watch. Running his fingers slowly over the finely etched casing, he unlatched the cover.Inside he found these words engraved: "Jack, Thanks for your time! Harold Belser."

"The thing he valued most... was... my time."Jack held the watch for a few minutes, then called his office and cleared his appointments for the next two days.

"Why?" Janet, his assistant asked.

"I need some time to spend with my son," he said.

"Oh, by the way, Janet... thanks for your time!"

P/S: Let's appreciate everyone around us and who knows maybe a little time we spend together might be the most valuable things to them...
For all my dear family, frens and readers, thanx for ur time!wish me all the best in my final and life..

NOW AIRING

UPCOMING

Congratulations Ariel,Joe and whole TKA and ISWAK team..

31 October, Taipe

Ariel Lin, with her role in They Kiss Again, won the Best Actress in the 43rd Golden Bell Award. This is the first time that Ariel has won an award.

During her acceptance speech, she appeared rather calm and collected. However, when she stepped into the celebratory hall, she started having tears in her eyes. One can see how happy she is to have had won the award.

Her male co-star and good friend, Joseph Cheng was her escort for the entire ceremony. He shadowed her the entire night, from the ceremony to the post-ceremony celebration. Although Joseph was not nominated for this year’s GBA, he was really proud of Ariel when she won the award and is happy for her.

In the award ceremony, Joseph kissed Ariel, which goes to cement their partnership as an on-screen coupleAriel feels that all the nominees for the category of Best Actress had worked hard and had not expected to win the award herself.

When she saw that the nomination list had finally given some recognition to idol dramas, Ariel was happy. However, she had not thought she would win because of her lack of experience. However, this has been a memorable experience for her because she had won the award.

After accepting the award, Ariel reveals that a friend had immediately told her that he hopes Ariel will forget the fact that she had won this prize tomorrow. Otherwise, the journey ahead of her would be difficult.

Ariel felt a deep sense of resonance when she heard those words.Upon defeating the enemies and bravely attaining the prize, Ariel called her mom prior to the post-award celebrations to tell her the good news. However, Ariel was not worried that she did not win and will disappoint her mom. Rather, she was worried that she might embarrass herself on stage by falling on her face.

P/s: Anyway, she deserves that.. No one can potray Xiang Qin better than her..

Xing fu! xing fu!I suggest everyone see these 2 dramas, It started with a kiss and They kiss again..worth watching it..

HOW MEN AND WOMEN DIFFER

NICKNAMES*

If Laura, Kate and Sarah go out for lunch, they will call each other Laura, Kate and Sarah.

If Mike, Dave and John go out, they will affectionately refer to each other as Fat Boy, Godzilla and Four-eyes.

EATING OUT*

When the bill arrives, Mike, Dave and John will each throw in $20, even though it's only for $32.50. None of them will have anything smaller and none will actually admit they want change back.

When the girls get their bill, out come the pocket calculators.

MONEY*

A man will pay $2 for a $1 item he needs.

A woman will pay $1 for a $2 item that she doesn't need but it's on sale

BATHROOMS*

A man has six items in his bathroom: toothbrush and toothpaste, shaving cream, razor, a bar of soap, and a towel from M&S.

The average number of items in the typical woman's bathroom is 337. A man would not be able to identify more than 20 of these items.

ARGUMENTS*

A woman has the last word in any argument.

Anything a man says after that is the beginning of a new argument.

CATS*

Women love cats.

Men say they love cats, but when women aren't looking, men kick cats.

FUTURE*

A woman worries about the future until she gets a husband.

A man never worries about the future until he gets a wife.

SUCCESS*

A successful man is one who makes more money than his wife can spend.

A successful woman is one who can find such a man.

MARRIAGE*

A woman marries a man expecting he will change, but he doesn't.

A man marries a woman expecting that she won't change, but she does.

DRESSING UP*

A woman will dress up to go shopping, water the plants, empty the bins, answer the phone, read a book, and get the post.

A man will dress up for weddings and funerals.

NATURAL*

Men wake up as good-looking as they went to bed.

Women somehow deteriorate during the night.

OFFSPRING*

Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist appointments and romances, best friends, favourite foods, secret fears and hopes and dreams.

A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house.

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY*

Any married man should forget his mistakes. There's no use in two people remembering the same thing.

What a woman says: C'mon..This place is a mess. You and I need to clean.Your trousers are on the floor and you'll have no clothes if we don't do the laundry now.

What a man hears: C'MON ... blah, blah, blah YOU AND I blah, blah, blah, blah, blah ON THE FLOOR blah, blah, blah, NO CLOTHES blah, blah, blah, blah, NOW

56-yrs-old gives birth to triplet (granddaughters)

CLEVELAND - Not only has a 56-year-old Ohio woman given birth to triplets, but they're her own granddaughters.

Jaci Dalenberg, of Wooster, Ohio, carried the babies as a surrogate for her daughter, Kim Coseno. The two identical twins and their sister were born by Caesarean section Oct. 11 at the Cleveland Clinic's Hillcrest Hospital in Mayfield Heights and are still in the hospital's care.

They were more than two months premature and each weighed less than three pounds.A Cleveland Clinic news release says infants and grandmother are all doing well.

According to a Clinic spokesman, Dalenberg offered herself as a surrogate when Kim Coseno and her husband, Joe, were waiting to adopt. The couple used in vitro fertilization, and embryos were implanted in Dalenberg's uterus.

5 more minutes

While at the park one day, a woman sat down next to a man on a bench near a playground.
“That’s my son over there,” she said, pointing to a little boy in a red sweater who was gliding down the slide.

“He’s a fine looking boy” the man said. “That’s my daughter on the bike in the white dress.”
Then, looking at his watch, he called to his daughter. “What do you say we go, Melissa?”

Melissa pleaded, “Just five more minutes, Dad. Please? Just five more minutes.”

The man nodded and Melissa continued to ride her bike to her heart’s content. Minutes passed and the father stood and called again to his daughter. “Time to go now?”

Again Melissa pleaded, “Five more minutes, Dad. Just five more minutes.”

The man smiled and said, “OK.”

“My, you certainly are a patient father,” the woman responded.

The man smiled and then said, “Her older brother Tommy was killed by a drunk driver last year while he was riding his bike near here. I never spent much time with Tommy and now I’d give anything for just five more minutes with him. I’ve vowed not to make the same mistake with Melissa.

She thinks she has five more minutes to ride her bike. The truth is, I get Five more minutes to watch her play.”

Life is all about making priorities, what are your priorities?Give someone you love 5 more minutes of your time today!

81-yrs-old finds love online

BEIJING (Reuters) - An 81-year-old Chinese man has proved age need not be a barrier to Internet love, marrying a 58-year-old bride he met online, a local newspaper reported.

Wu Jieqin, a retired Beijing art professor who has spent time in an aged-care home, married Jiang Xiaohui, 23 years younger, in a ceremony on the weekend, the Beijing News reported."The Internet doesn't belong to the young alone," he told the paper.

He said he had been using the Internet since 1998."There are no rules against old people seeking love online."

But to reach the altar, Wu had to overcome the opposition of Jiang's parents, aged 85 and 86, who feared he was too old.But she won them over.

"His voice is very youthful. Not like an 80-year-old," Jiang told the paper. "He's very romantic."

The couple met after Wu, lonely since his divorce a decade ago, put a lonely hearts notice on a Chinese website last year with the help of a student. Not that the feisty retiree with thin gray hair was not picky.

"As internet mates of his own age did not suit him, he set his sights on a woman in her forties or fifties," the report said.Wu said over 50 women responded positively to his ad, including prospects from the United States, Australia and the Ukraine.

Wu met several but things clicked only when with Jiang, a retired railway worker from southwest China's Sichuan province.

Wu plans to move to Sichuan to be with his new bride. He likened their love to two well-meshed gears."As long they up to scratch, they can keep turning forever, and you don't have to care whether they're old or new," he said.

World's heaviest man marries in Mexico

MONTERREY, Mexico – The world's heaviest man has tied the knot. Manuel Uribe, who hasn't left his bed in six years, married his longtime girlfriend Claudia Solis Sunday in northern Mexico.

Wearing a white silk shirt with a sheet wrapped around his legs, Uribe smiled as Solis, 38, walked down a flight of stairs wearing a strapless ivory dress, a tiara and hot-pink lipstick.

He later broke into tears as a notary declared the couple husband and wife in a civil ceremony attended by more than 400 guests. For the traditional first dance as newlyweds, Uribe and Solis held hands and swayed to a romantic ballad.A popular local norteno band played accordion-heavy tunes at the reception, which featured a banquet of meat and buttered vegetables.

Uribe's mother, Orquedia Garza, said the groom steered clear of the five-tier wedding cake."He didn't break his diet," she told The Associated Press. "His doctors are here and they are watching him very closely."

The wedding, which was closed to most media, will be featured in an upcoming Discovery Channel documentary on Uribe, the 43-year-old former mechanic said.

"I have a wife and will form a new family and live a happy life," Uribe told hordes of reporters earlier as they followed him through the streets of Monterrey.

A flatbed truck was brought in to tow his custom-made bed decorated with a canopy, flowers and gold-trimmed bows to the wedding at a local event hall. Two police patrol cars escorted him ahead of a long line of traffic.

Uribe tipped the scales in 2006 at 1,230 pounds (560 kilograms), earning him the Guinness World Record as the world's heaviest man.

He has since shed about 550 pounds (250 kilograms) with the help of Solis, whom he met four years ago.

Uribe said he's gunning for a new title: world's greatest weight loser.

CONGRATULATIONS...

Kennedy - Lincoln ???

Abraham Lincoln was elected to Congress in 1846.
John F. Kennedy was elected to Congress in 1946.

Abraham Lincoln was elected President in 1860.
John F. Kennedy was elected President in 1960.

Both were particularly concerned with civil rights.
Both wives lost their children while living in the White House.

Both Presidents were shot on a Friday.
Both Presidents were shot in the head

Now it gets really weird.

Lincoln 's secretary was named Kennedy.
Kennedy's Secretary was named Lincoln .

Both were assassinated by Southerners.
Both were succeeded by Southerners named Johnson.

Andrew Johnson, who succeeded Lincoln ,was born in 1808.
Lyndon Johnson, who succeeded Kennedy, was born in 1908.

John Wilkes Booth, who assassinated Lincoln , was born in 1839.
Lee Harvey Oswald, who assassinated Kennedy, was born in 1939.

Both assassins were known by their three names.
Both names are composed of fifteen letters.

Now hang on to your seat.

Lincoln was shot at the theater named 'Ford.'
Kennedy was shot in a car called ' Lincoln ' made by 'Ford.'

Lincoln was shot in a theater and his assassin ran and hid in a warehouse.
Kennedy was shot from a warehouse and his assassin ran and hid in a theater.

Booth and Oswald were assassinated before their trials.

And here's the kicker...
A week before Lincoln was shot, he was in Monroe , Maryland
A week before Kennedy was shot, he was with Marilyn Monroe.

Creepy huh? hehe...This is one history lesson most people probably will not mind reading!

Hepi Birthday....

How many of us in the world got a chance to properly said goodbye??
Though u r no longer here, i still want to wish u hepi bedday...

This is for u..
This is that final goodbye that the soul is missing.

GOODBYE AT LAST

Growing up u were always there

Each and every day showing me that u cared.

Spoiling me every chance that u had.

Letting me know that is okay to be sad.

After school, you checked on us day after day,

Listening to every word we had to say.

Eighteen years I kept u in my sight.

Now all I can do is hold the memories tight.

The day ur soul drifted high

My heart knew, and all I could do was cry.

I have spent three years trying to put it in my past

And now in college I have come to peace with it at last.

A part of my heart left with u.

The part that told me what to do.

Once at college, I became confused and lost.

I went to pray where Allah I sought.

HE told me something I did not know.

I have your hand on my shoulder telling me where to go.

I once thought the part of me that went with u,

Was lost forever and would not be put to good use.

I now realize that I never lost part of my soul.

I simply shared it with u to keep us whole.

Saying goodbye is never easy

It's the hardest thing to do

But what hurts even more

Is not given the chance to say it to you.

Yesterday is just a memory

Our laughter was sunny and bright

Then clouds started to gather

For you were no where in sight.

You were my love

And this I will never forget

How you left without a warning

No good-byes, my only regret.

Wherever I may be now

Always searching for another so true

To place my world of emotion

Handing my love to someone like you.

No matter what my wrongs

You offered only love

Until the day you left me

For your new home up above.

All I have now is great memories,

A heartfull of love and eyes full of tears,

And to remember your love throughout the years.

Now I will have to look up at the stars and say,

"I love u, I miss u! Happy Birthday Dad!"

This is given to you in honor

Of all that we did share

I know you still are with me

Your love is within my heart...
